Baseus has introduced the Security PrimeSentinel U2 Pro Outdoor 3K Dual Camera, a new security device designed to actively deter unwanted visitors rather than simply recording them. The camera features a motorized spotlight that tracks moving targets across a property, shining directly on them to indicate that they have been detected.
The company stated that this focused beam serves a dual purpose. By illuminating the subject, it improves the quality of video captured at night, which increases the likelihood of identifying individuals. Additionally, the bright light is intended to scare off intruders. Beyond security, Baseus noted that the spotlight can assist household members with after-hours activities, such as walking a dog.
The U2 Pro is part of Baseus's lineup of AI-assisted security cameras. The device is described as more proactive in its approach to home safety compared to traditional models that rely on alerts after an event has occurred.
