Amazon delivery drivers may soon wear smart glasses that take photos almost constantly while on duty, according to a Bloomberg report. The devices could capture images of people and private property, with Bloomberg estimating the glasses might take several thousand photos during a single driver's typical shift.
Amazon plans to upload this data to its AI Wellspring platform. Viraj Chatterjee, an Amazon representative, stated that the company intends to use the data only to enhance the delivery process. When asked by Bloomberg whether customers would have the option to opt out of the photo collection, Chatterjee replied, "We haven't thought about that." The full details were reported by Bloomberg and covered by The Verge.
